Privacy Policy
Bax Illustration LLC keeps this simple: we collect what we need to draw great caricatures at your event and to run our team, and we don't share your personal information with anyone who doesn't need it. Last updated October 21, 2026.
What we collect
When you book an event or request a gift caricature, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, event date and time, event location or estimated city, service and package choices, guest count, and any notes or reference photos you share.
Team artists (caricature artists we invite to work events with us) provide a name, email, mobile phone number, mailing address for pay purposes, and their scheduling availability and notification preferences.
Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools also collect standard technical information such as pages visited, approximate location of visitors, and browser type. This helps us understand what's working and what to improve.
How we use your information
We use booking details to plan and staff your event, prepare agreements, take deposits and payments, and communicate with you before, during and after your event.
We use artist contact and availability information to send work opportunities and event updates, and to process pay.
We may use photos from events (only where we have permission) and general site analytics to show our work and improve the website.
Text messaging (SMS)
Event clients: If you provide a mobile number when booking or requesting a callback, we may text you about your inquiry, agreement and payment reminders. Message frequency varies based on your booking. Reply STOP at any time to opt out; reply HELP for assistance.
Team artists: Artists are invited by the owner and see the text-notification option inside their team portal profile. Artists consent by adding their mobile number and choosing their notification preferences in portal settings. Texts alert artists to available gigs and booking updates. Message frequency varies with event volume; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text alerts; reply HELP for assistance. Opting out of texts does not remove an artist from the team.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this will not be shared with any third parties.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your mobile opt-in data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We share only what's needed to run the business: payment processors (to take deposits and payments), our text-message and email delivery providers (to send booking updates and artist alerts), our cloud hosting and storage providers (to keep the site and files running), and mapping services (to suggest and geocode event addresses).
Artists working your event receive the event details they need — date, time, location and guest expectations. We do not share client contact information with artists beyond what an event requires.
Payments
Deposits and balances are processed through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe handles your payment details under its own privacy and security policies.
Photos and event media
Photos artists capture at events are stored privately and used for our blog galleries and marketing only where we have permission. Reference photos submitted for gift caricatures are kept private and used solely to create your artwork.
How long we keep information
We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Artist records are kept while an artist is active and afterward as required for pay and tax records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see Contact below — subject to those record-keeping requirements.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link at the bottom of any email.
You can reply STOP to any of our texts to stop text messages.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
