Terms & Conditions

Booking a caricature artist should be fun — here's how the business side works so there are no surprises. Last updated October 21, 2026. See also our Privacy Policy.

Our services

  • Bax Illustration LLC provides live caricature entertainment for private and corporate events, plus studio caricature gifts drawn from photos. We draw caricatures — not characters — and every artist draws in the Bax style you see on this site.
  • Specific artists are scheduled by Bax Illustration. Clients book our team, not a particular artist; we choose and confirm the artist(s) for each event.

Booking and deposits

  • A booking is confirmed when you sign the agreement and pay the deposit shown on it (25% of the event total; live events carry a 2-hour minimum, weddings a 3-hour minimum). The remaining balance is due 7 days before your event.
  • Your date and artists are held once the deposit is paid. Until then, your requested date remains open to other bookings.
  • Prices are quoted in your agreement. Travel beyond our standard service area may add a travel fee, which will always be shown before you sign.

Cancellations and changes

  • If you cancel more than 7 days before the event, your deposit may be applied to a rescheduled date within 12 months, subject to availability.
  • If you cancel within 7 days of the event, or the balance is unpaid by the due date, the deposit is non-refundable.
  • If we cannot staff your event, we'll tell you right away and offer the choice of a full refund of anything paid or approval of a reduced artist count — never a no-show without notice.
  • Events cut short by the client, or time lost to venue issues (power, space, weather relocation), are billed as originally booked.

Event-day expectations

  • We need a sturdy setup area near the action: table, chairs, and for digital packages, power access. Your venue contract is between you and the venue; we follow venue rules.
  • Artists take short breaks on multi-hour events; timing is arranged on site so drawing coverage stays continuous.
  • Please don't photograph other guests' original caricatures for commercial use without their consent. Guests keep their drawings; client-approved photo galleries of drawings may appear on our site and social media.

Gift caricatures

  • Studio gifts are drawn from the photos you submit, so clear, well-lit photos make better art. You'll approve the theme level before work begins.
  • Delivery timelines depend on the turnaround you choose (Standard, Priority or Rush). Rush orders placed under a week from delivery carry a 25% rush fee.
  • Original gift artwork is yours once delivered; we retain the right to display gift caricatures in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.

Text messaging terms (SMS)

  • By providing a mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from Bax Illustration related to your inquiry, booking, or — for invited team artists — work opportunities and event updates.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Text STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out ends text messages; email and account access are unaffected.
  • Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Artwork and website content

  • All artwork, samples and site content are © Bax Illustration LLC. Guests keep their original caricatures for personal use. Commercial reproduction of our artwork requires written permission.

Liability

  • We carry liability insurance and take care around your guests and venue. Our liability for any claim relating to your event is limited to the amount you paid us for that event.
